The story of Emory Wallace began simply enough. Growing up on a farm in Jacksonville, Texas, he attended local schools; and like many young men his age, served in the military during World War II.
The late Bill Percy earned his Master of Divinity from NOBTS in 1978 before beginning a long ministry serving smaller, rural churches in Alabama. But, according to his sister Harriet Percy, his preaching career began much earlier.
From the outside looking in, things could not have been better for Doug Gunn. From a human perspective, he was living his best life, checking off every box on culture's list of what makes a man successful.
